A little bit of May news

Hi!  In case you don’t get the email newsletters or if you’re not into Facebook, I thought I’d post a few of the things we’ve got going on in May and early June.

We have a new sit -n- knit just for guys!  It’s on Monday afternoons from 3pm to 5pm.  This will be an ongoing weekly occurrence – join in anytime!

We are still hosting our regular sit -n- knit times on Sunday afternoons from 12-5 and on Thursday evenings from 6-8pm.  And frequently there are people hanging out here on Friday during the late afternoons as well!  Join us – all are welcome!

Pre-pay May is still going on.  Pre-paying for yarn gives you a discount depending on how much you spend – and gives the shop cash to pay for new inventory that sometimes (usually) has to be paid for up front.  It’s great for both customer and shop alike!  If you spend up to $199 you get an extra 5%
from $200-299 an extra 10%
from $300-399 an extra 15%
over $400 an extra 20%.  The offer is good until June 1!

Speaking of June 1…
Save the date!  May 1 marked the first “year of yarn” for Amanda – and we are celebrating with a fun day here in the shop.  We’re working on a few different activities (including Marilyn spinning angora right from her bunnies!) and there may be some fun surprises.  We’ll be kicking off a new summer knit-along.  And there will probably be cake!

And last, but not least, the shop will be participating in World Wide Knit in Public Day on Saturday, June 8.  Details will be forthcoming, but the plan is to gather in Depot Park next to the Farmers’ Market from 10-1.  But stay tuned for confirmation and details!
