Join our summer knitalong!

Recently, Katie Sullivan of Bobolink Yarns came to the shop to deliver some new yarn and kits.  I have been in love with the "landscape" scarf since I saw it a few months ago, and I felt like it just "went with" the shop.  Katie and I got to talking and we decided we needed to make this a shop specific design, which naturally means we need a shop knitalong!

Katie has just delivered thirteen kits to the shop, and we have finalized details to host a knitalong beginning on the evening of Wednesday, June 16.  Katie's mom Judith Sullivan will be hosting, which is exciting because she designed the scarf, as well as many of the other patterns that Katie includes in her kits.

The knitalong will have four meetings at 7 pm - June 16, June 30, July 14 and July 28.  The meetings will take place on Zoom.

About your host: Judith Sullivan is a lifelong knitter and needle worker who lives in Keene, NH. She learned how to knit at the age of 8, and has made innumerable garments for herself and other family members. She owned a yarn and needlework shop in Connecticut for a number of years before moving to New Hampshire in 1981. She taught knitting, crewel embroidery, and needlepoint at her own shop, and at The Fiber Studio before returning to college as a non-traditional student to complete a degree in Elementary Education. She taught reading and math in Keene, NH through the Title I program for 18 years before retiring. In 1997, she began to learn the art of Kiltmaking, and has been making traditional hand sewn kilts for the past 24 years for clients across the US. Judith does knitting design for Cloverworks Farm and Bobolink Yarns, and always has multiple knitting projects on her needles. In her spare time, she enjoys gardening, bicycling, and visiting the sheep at her daughter’s farm.

To join the knitalong, you can purchase a kit on the website.  The kit includes the knitalong registration fee, and the yarn and pattern to knit the scarf.  You will receive a link to the zoom meetings once you have paid for the kit, probably the week before the knitalong kicks off. Click here to go the website listing. If you're local, you can select local pickup, and if you're not local, we can ship the kit to you.  It's nice that our non-local shop customers can still participate long-distance, thanks to Zoom!  We are limited to 13 participants due to the number of kits available, so get your kit as soon as you can!

I hope you'll join us to knit the very first of our shop-specific designs.  The scarf is gorgeous, the yarn is wonderful, and I'm very excited about the whole thing.
