Join Lelia Scott for this chance to dive into the resources available online to support your knitting habit! Lelia writes, "Growing up I learned how to knit from my 3rd grade teacher. She gave us some needles, yarn and a booklet with pictures to teach us how to cast on, knit, purl and cast off. Since that time, I’ve been teaching myself the more complicated techniques from patterns. Fast forward to now and we have so much more available to us at our fingertips. More than ever, using these online tools to learn how to knit or crochet for the first time or learn more complicated techniques you’ve always wanted to learn is easily achievable. In this one hour session we’ll take a look at the basic tools in Ravelry, learn how to convert a pattern for use with your stash or how to work with your local yarn shop to get the materials you need. We’ll also take a look at Chart Minder, and a few of my favorite sites that offer free patterns and YouTube videos that can really help you get to that next level!"
