Drop Spinning

We are thrilled to welcome Susan Snider to the shop to teach a drop spinning class! Before the spinning wheel, people spun all their yarn on drop spindles, an ancient craft still in use today. Drop spindle is an excellent introduction to spinning yarn, portable and affordable. This class will explore why wool spins, preparing fiber for spinning, drafting techniques and spinning your first yarn. If you would like to create unique yarns for your knitting or fiber projects this class is for you. A drop spindle and fiber will be provided to use during the class.
